Go and shop!

Feeling very pleased this morning, even though it is raining, well more like misting, because I have just returned from a meeting with the lovely Clare. Clare owns a fab little shop nearby and we had a chat about my jewellery and my friend Kirsty's jewellery. So as of next week (I'm hoping that we will get the case dressed then) you will be able to purchase my jewellery in her shop. This shop is full of wonderful gifts for children, adults, the wedding stationery alone makes me want to get married again (don't worry!). Check out her shop on the link below:

I'm hoping that the name of her shop is also a kind of metaphor for the work I will be able to complete over the next little while, because it won't be for lack of planning.

Sisters

Yesterday was a bad day, one of those migraine and frustration filled days when you feel as if you have got on that big roller coaster when you really meant to get on the Ghoster Coaster and now there is no way off and you really do think you might be sick. I wanted to be alone and even when I was alone it wasn't enough, did I have any real reason for this pit of misery? Not in the rational world, I felt as if anyone who came near me might be contaminated with my funk (and no it wasn't a disco 70's funk). Before I drag you down with me I have to say how I was saved. My sister. I've only got one sister and at times in our lives I am sure we have both felt that was one too many. Our march towards adulthood has done a lot to improve the quality of our relationship, in addition to having kids, and though it sounds funny being an ocean apart just means that I miss her all the time. Which, though sad because we aren't together enough, is a good thing because we never really get sick of each other!
The phone rang yesterday and it was Catherine and she was the best sister that she could have been to me, totally supportive and saying all the right things to bring me round. Sometimes all the planets just align themselves. To top it off she surprised me today with flowers, which also shows the miracle of how one big world can be quite small, from her little town to my little village over one big ocean. Maybe we aren't so different afterall.

Cherry Menlove

Walk, no run towards this site. Enter at your peril because you will spend far too long trawling this site, when you should be doing something useful like darning socks or putting oil on squeaky hinges. I am a huge fan and can lose myself in believing that bunting would make my life better, take it from me there's bunting in my boy's room (made by the talented Red) and it does make life a little bit sweeter. One look and you will be smitten.

Go now and check it out just make sure you come back here too!

Welcome

So here we are, I've been thinking about creating a blog for a while and have finally taken the plunge. Not exactly sure how this will materialise but if you bear with me we can find out together. So for those of you who aren't with me in person I hope you will be with me by sending me some good vibes (as my Mum would say) on this journey making a new life in the "country".

Before I go though I had to share what I think is an awesome website. I know that I have been heard to say that I am past IKEA but....we all love the Marketplace, how could you not...as I am very new at this I won't try to put a link in but I can say with confidence that if you search for Ikea Hacker you will get to the right site. It is fantastic. So that is my top tip for the the first post.
